Yes, it's that time again, election time! Our community members are so confused by it, angery at it, apprehensive, excited, cool and of course the seasoned politicians are smooth!
As for me, I'm a candidate for Council - my first time. Someone I spoke to tonight said "call yourself a virgin" it breaks the ice real good, causes laughter. He suggested this because he too is a first-time candidate and this is his opener. I just might try it.
Since embarking on this journey, I've had to challenge myself. I try to approach many things in my life as challenges, and because I'm competitive by nature, it helps me, or rather encourages me to face them in order to get over them. I've had to face two challenges since beginning: the first one is to walk up to people and start a conversation (I'm an introvert, so this is a major step!); and I spoke to a crowd of people in my language! I don't normally speak Mi'gmaq, however, most people will speak to me in Mi'gmaq; I respond in English. It's been a real experience so far.

Back to Blogging...
Well, I'm back! I kind of missed this, in a strange kind of way. I thought of setting up another blog, or continuing on this one. I just wasn't sure and as with anything else, if I let it be, the answers always come. And it sure did. I don't know why I didn't put two and two together and come to the conclusion that this course would continue in the same fashion as the last two.
I've gotten into reading different blogs too. Yoga blogs, news blogs, etc. Quite interesting. For the simple reason that, I believe, you're reading someone else's thoughts and opinions, most of the time. There are those professional blogs too, that are maintained by profesiona bloggers. In this instance, you get a deeper meaning of the subject matter and if read further, you obtain a wider view of the subject.
So, here's to Blogging. Happy blogging to everyone in this English class!
